It seems to be fairly standard in this sport and guys wear them as well - as with certain other sports (not so common in basketball these days of course).

Of course some sock styles are specific to women but there is no reason why guys shouldn’t play this game too. Women play soccer!

Obviously the whole team should wear the same thing. Same length, same colours.

If you want to wear knee socks as a team wear them and don’t mind what people think. So long as you look good nobody will be all the fussed. It’s not a big deal in other sports.
