Here it comes again, another fad, another style just completing it’s cycle building up steam just to be pushed aside again for another 20 years. Or is it? Knee socks are a very big fashion statement in Europe right now and it’s making it’s way into the United States. Not only are the plain white school uniform attire being worn, but just about every design and color are also showing up.

What’s different about the knee socks now as opposed to the early eighties? Well, for one thing, thickness. The early varieties were nothing more than sweater socks. They were thick, cotton knitted bulky, and yes warm articles of clothing, but they have come a long way. Materials have decreased in weight, methods of operation have improved and the overall variety is staggering.

What has the Internet done besides connect us on this one planet? It has created the largest market known to man. Everything and anything is now available on the Internet and knee socks are no exception. Looking to enhance a certain outfit, or need some color in your wardrobe?
